Our advert in the Guardian for a Prime Minister caused quite a stir earlier this month, so much so that we were forced to remove it from their online pages. Shame, as at one point the ad was getting 100 views per minute.

I’m interested in applying for the position of PRIME MINISTER – LONDON (SW1A) (RH\000BPM) advertised on GuardianJobs… I must ask though – the job Does come with an intern assistant with a penchant for cigars, right?

Bill Clinton

I would very much like to apply for this job as it corresponds to my professional expectations and is coherent with my background and interests. I am temporarily working part time in the Italian government and now relish a new challenge with high profile european government to dash another country. Thanks to my work experiences I have also acquired an excellent ability to handle multiple tasks. I also like have parties with friends, colleagues and several girlfriends.

Silvio Berlusconi

If no one else is up for it…

Nick Medhurst

I have no experience of politics, completely clueless when it comes to managing the country, absolutely no aptitude when it comes to managing finances or current affairs but I am redundant due to the recession. I feel because of these failings I am perfect for the job.
Please respond if suitable enclosing current expenses backhanders and list of other unnecessary perks.

I spent all my life in England and the last 8 years in the USA and my family and I are in the process of moving back to the UK. I am goal orientated and believe I have the flair and the determination of bringing England to the 21st Century.

As Sir William Churchill once said “All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy and hope”.
